This site of permanence transforms into an instant informal communal dining ground when a mobile kitchen/storage docks into the space. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The transformative character of this intervention negotiates between the temporal and the physical scale, by adapting to the economic and social needs of the neighborhood. The radii of influence of such interventions are determined by the population density and accessibility of the specific study area and are dispersed throughout the larger identified area in dire need of access to fresh produce as well as communities which are below the national poverty line.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The neighborhood food co-op becomes the mediator and facilitator of social engagements, as well as an education ground for healthy eating habits. A community member may also reside within the adapted and reused compound, while serving as the manager of the co-op fresh produce store. This physical space exemplifies the social nature of YourZoko.com where communities of different backgrounds meet under the canopy of a common interest- food. Further social engagements such as exchanging of recipes, food storage methods and such within the physical realm translates immediately into the digital realm when the web platform receives instant feedback from the users, and thus initiates a relation of reciprocity between the digital and the analogue.  &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Potential sites are identified by the long and narrow characteristics that typifies the nature of New Orleans’s urban grid.
